This workshop is designed for teams or organisations where innovation is a critical part of their function or their success.
Research into creativity, innovation and change in the USA & Europe has consistently reported that 80% of organisations feel innovation is vital to the business yet only 4% think they know how to do it. Given total freedom, people don?t know what to do or how to navigate through the confusion of new ideas and new thinking. What is often needed is a process structure that allows the freedom to be creative and to invent new ways of working. Structured creative problem-solving processes and formal innovation programmes are highly beneficial in order to create a culture of innovation in an organisation.
This workshop is designed to be run in house with team who want to address a specific creative challenge at the same time as learning new tools and techniques. An experienced facilitator will take the team through the process whilst ensuring they spend the necessary time on the real life opportunity.
To improve business results through increased effectiveness of creative thinking and application of innovation.
By the end of the course you will benefit from the following experiences:
- Understand and implement tools to develop innovative thinking
- Understand the preferences, strengths and blind spots of the team members and the team as a whole towards innovation
- Plan and implement actions to address and develop ideas generated within the workshop
-
Identify practices, behaviours & standards to promote more effective innovation
The creativity & innovation ?workshop? will be a combination of theory and hands-on practice of creativity & innovation techniques. One example of this is the use of ?springboards?. Springboards are the beginning thoughts, speculative thoughts, that lead to new thinking (versus ideas which are specific and actionable thoughts that allow us to move towards possible solutions). Participants in the session can test their ?IQ? (Innovation Quotient) and we will look at styles and behaviours to foster creativity & innovation.
Meeting the challenges of a virtual team ? establishing processes, standards and practices which foster relationships and enable communications.
Looking at some of the critical success factors of a virtual team and the role of technology in virtual communication.
Working on a real life opportunity or challenge which requires innovation or an alternative approach. Use the tools and apply them to the situation.
