What is APMP? APMP (IPMA Level D, SCQF Level 7) is a knowledge based qualification that allows candidates to demonstrate knowledge of all elements of project management. Candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how these elements interact and how their project fits into their strategic and commercial environment. APMP is a qualification recognised both nationally and internationally giving candidates a qualification that can be carried from one job to another or from one industry to another.

 
Who is it for? APMP is aimed at those wishing to achieve a broad level of project management knowledge sufficient to participate in projects from individual assignments through to large capital projects. It is suited to those who have been working in a project environment for 2 years or more and wish to structure their knowledge as well as learn new techniques. Typical roles appropriate for this course include project sponsors, project managers, team managers, project assurance, business analysts, test managers and any others for whom projects represent a significant proportion of their activities.

The course is 5 days long and leads to a three hour written essay-based paper. The APMP assesses the candidate's breadth of knowledge in all areas of project management, from strategic and commercial implications, to the technical, organisational, and people management skills required to participate effectively within a project team. The course is not residential but accommodation can be arranged if required.
