The ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level course is a three-day course explaining the fundamentals in software testing.
The course is appropriate for testers, test team leaders, developers, development managers, business analysts, and anyone wishing to gain ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification.
None. However, we recommend that delegates wishing to take the Foundation exam have at least six months experience in software testing.

Delegates take the ISTQB exam online at a Pearson Venue test centre. Nearest at Thackery House, Fareham. PO16 0EN.
This course requires a minimum of 6 delegates. Courses can be held either onsite or at our training centre.

This section explains how to identify test conditions and how to design test cases. It also explains the difference between white and black box testing. The following black box techniques are described in some detail with practical exercises:
In addition, use case testing, white box testing and experience-based testing are described, and advice is given on choosing techniques.
This section looks at organisation implications for testing and describes test planning and estimation, test monitoring and control. The relationship of testing and risk is covered, and configuration management and incident management.
Different types of tool support for testing are outlined. This session also discusses how to use them effectively and how best to introduce a new tool.
The Foundation Certificate is awarded to those who pass a written one-hour multiple-choice exam which is set by the ISTQB. Candidates must score 65% or more to pass the exam.
