PRINCE2®  Take2 exam re-sit option

Taking an exam means you invest in time, energy and money. Would you like to sit your exam knowing that if the outcome is not what you expected, you could have another shot, at a fraction of the exam price? Consider the Take2 re-sit exam option, that becomes available to you exclusively through Online Proctoring, in the case of an unsuccessful result.

PRINCE2 Take2 gives you

  • Time to prepare: You have up to 6 months from the date of the initial exam.
  • Affordable solution: Allows you to retake an unsuccessful exam at a fraction of the cost, without having to purchase it again at full price.
  • Convenience: Schedule the re-sit exam when it best suits your schedule and take it from the comfort of your home or office.

IMPORTANT: How and when to purchase the re-sit exam option

Foundation exam

If you want to use Take2 for your Foundation exam you’ll have to add it through your PeopleCert Candidate Profile, up to 15’ before sitting the initial exam. Take2 applies only to the exam it is purchased for, and is available exclusively through Online Proctoring, and is enabled only in the case of an “fail” result.

Take2 is not transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit, even if it isn’t eventually used. Candidates must schedule and take the re-sit exam within 6 months from the date of their initial exam without the option of an extension (not expandable). Take2 is not available for purchase after a failed exam.

Practitioner exam

If you want Take2 for your Practitioner exam, you will need to contact IPSO FACTO before your Practitioner exam voucher is booked. We can only add Take2 during an exam booking. If your Practitioner exam has already been booked you still have the option to purchase Take2  through your PeopleCert Candidate Profile up to 15 minutes before sitting the exam.

Booking Take2 via IPSO FACTO

We can book your Practitioner exam voucher once we have confirmation that you’ve successfully passed the Foundation exam. To book, email jean@ipsofacto.uk.com stating that you want Take2. You will be sent an invoice for immediate payment, where we will book your Practitioner voucher and Take2.

Arrange your re-sit exam

If you’ve purchased Take2 and are unsuccessful with your PRINCE2 initial exam, then the re-sit option it is enabled. When your official exam results become available, you are notified by e-mail to schedule your re-sit exam. It will be conducted through online proctoring offering you flexibility to take it from your home or office, at the time of your convenience. You have up to 6 months to prepare and take your re-sit exam from the date of your initial exam.

Conditions – Please read

Take2 is an add-on service that becomes available only when the initial exam linked to it has a “fail” result. Take2 is not transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit, even if it isn’t eventually used. Candidates must schedule and take the re-sit exam within 6 months from the date of their initial exam. Take2 is exam-specific; it cannot be used for any other offering and is valid only for the exam originally purchased. Failing to show up for a Take2 exam appointment or not rescheduling the appointment prior to their scheduled appointment forfeits candidates’ ability to use the Take2 generated voucher.

IPSO FACTO Cost: £80+VAT

You can use Take2 for each PRINCE2 exam but the Foundation exam has a very high pass rate, so you may think its not worth the extra cost. However if you have concerns about the Practitioner exam you might consider purchasing Take2 to reduce your risks and save money on a potential resit.
