What is Project Management?

How can you benefit?

By gaining a formal project management qualification it may allow you to open doors to a new career or enhance the possibility of promotion in your existing career.

The Association for Project Management (APM) has a career hub that outlines jobs, qualification and the results of a 2019 salary survey to show you what you could be earning as a project manager or team member. Visit: https://www.apm.org.uk/jobs-and-careers/

Qualifications

You have two qualifications to choose from based on your experience.

1: You have no project management experience – APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (APM PFQ)

2: You have 3-4 years project management experience – APM Project Management Qualification (APM PMQ)

Does your military experience count?

There may be many instances where your military experiences can be used to support your understanding of project management. The APM PMQ course covers key project management topics that are highly relevant to your military experience and include: Communication, Leadership and Teamwork, Schedule and Resource Management and Procurement. See APM PMQ course content for the full list of topics and course details. Most topics covered on this course are highly relevant for both civilian and military employment.
